How are the wavelength and frequency of a sound wave related to its speed ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The speed is defined as the distance travelled by a wave per unit time.
Speed `=("Distance")/("Time") = (lambda)/( T)`
`lambda` is the wavelength, `T to` time period.
`v =upsilon lambda because v (1)/(T)`
`therefore` Speed `=` wavelength `xx` frequency
