What is the difference between an echo and a reverberation ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

An echo is formed when sound after strong reflection comes back after an interval of 0.1 s or more. In an echo, the original and reflected sounds are heard separately. On the other hand, reverberation consists of successive reflections which follow each other so quickly that these cannot produce separate echoes.
