The correct Answer is:
2

Given forces `F_(1), F_(2)` act in opposite direction, hence net force
`F = F_(1) -F_(2)` (if `F_(1) gt F_(2)`)
or `F_(2) -F_(1)` (if `F_(2) gt F_(1)`)
If `F_(1) gt F_(2)` then `F_(1) = F_(2) +2`
or `F_(2) gt F_(1)` then `F_(1) = F_(1) + 2`
(odd consecutive force)
`therefore` Net force `F= F_(2) + 2 -F_(2) =2` units
