While travelling in a train, it appears that the trees near the track are moving whereas co-passengers appear to be stationary. Explain the reason.

The position of the trees with respect to us is changing in a moving train, hence appears to be moving. However, the position of co-passengers with respect to us is not changing. Hence, appears to be at rest.
