Given , `V = 10 dm^(3) , T = 25 + 273 = 298 K , R = 0.0821 dm^(3)` atm `K^(-1) mol^(-1)` ,
n = w/M = 5g/32 g `mol^(-1) = 0.156 mol^(-1)`
Pressure of gas , `P = (n RT)/(V) = (0.156 mol xx 0.0821 dm^(3) "atm" K^(-1) mol^(-1) xx 298 K)/(10 dm^(3)) = 0.382` atm

A sample of liquid H_2O of mass 18.0 g is injected into an evacuated 7.6 L flask maintained at 27^@C. If vapour pressure of H_(2)O at 27^@C is 24.63 mm Hg, what weight percentage of the water will be vapourised when the system comes to equilibrium? Assume water vapours behaves as an ideal gas. The volume occupied by the liquid water is negligible compared to the volume of the container:
