Distribution of molecules (N) with velocity (u) at two temperatures `T_(1)` and `T_(2) (T_(2) gt T_(1))` is shown below, at both temperatures , distribution velocity first increases , reaches a maximum value and then decreases. Most probable speed increases with temperature increases , but fraction possessing most probable speed decreases .
