Suppose the four numbers are respectively a, b, c and d.
`a+b+c+d=4xx60=240`
`a=(1)/(4)(b+c+d)`
Suppose, b+c+d=y
Now,
`(1)/(4)y+y=240`
`=y+4y=240xx4`
`:.y=(960)/(5)=192`
`:.a=240-192=48`
