Explain the shape of ammonia `(NH_3)` molecule by using VSEPR theory.

In ammonia, central nitrogen atom has five electrons in calence shell it shares three of its electrons with three. Hydrogen atoms to form three bonds and remaining two electrons are present as one lone pair. This is shown in the figures.

Since nitrongen has four electron pairs around it. it should adopt tetrahedral geometry. but due to precence of ione pair o fnitrogen atom, gemetry is regarded as pyramidal geometry with bond angle `107^(@)`.
