Resonance effect is the permanent displacement of electrons in a molecule. It is due to the interaction of two pi-bonds or between a pi-bond.and lone pair of electrons present on an atom. . Types of resonance effect: Resonance effect is of two types :
i) Positive resonance effect (+R effect)
ii) Negative resonance effect (-R effect)
