Explanation

Every reactant has to cross an energy barrier to change into products. The energy at the barrier is equal to threshold energy `(E^(@)).` The reacting species in their normal energy state absorb energy and reach the barrier. At barrier, the reacting species mutually combine to form an unstable complex, This complex is called as activated complex.
