We are given :
Triple point of water on scale A = 200 A
Triple point of water on scale B = 350 B
We are to calculate :
Relation between scale A and B .
We know that , Triple points of water is
T= 273 . 16 K
Since the absolute scales measure the triple points as 200 A and 350 B
`therefore200A = 350B=273.16`
`1A=(273.16)/(200)Kand1B=(273.16)/(350)K`.
If `T_(A)andT_(B)` are the temperatures on the two scales , then
`(273.16)/(200)T_(A)=(273.16)/(350)T_(B)rArrT_(A)=(200)/(350)T_(B)rArr(T_(A))/(T_(B))=(4)/(7)`.
