Calorimeter : A device which is used to measure heat is called calormeters . Construction : It consists of a metallic vessel and stirrer of the jacket which contains heat insulating meterial like glass , wool etc . The outer jecked acts as a heat shield and reduces the heat loss from the inner vessel There is an opning in the outer jacket through which mercury thermometer can be inserted into calorimeter .
