Four point charges q(A)= 2 muC, q(B) =-5...

Four point charges `q_(A)= 2 muC, q_(B) =-5 ,muc=2muC_(1) and q_(D)=-5piC` are located at the four corners of a square ABCD of side 10 cm. What is force on a charge of `1muC` placed at the centre of the square?

Here, the magnitude of force between charges 0 & A is equal to the magnitude of force between charges Q & C, but these forces act in opposite directions. Also, the magnitude of force between the charges at O & B is equal to the magnitude of force between the charges at O & D. These forces also act in opposite directions. Hence the net force on `1muC` charge = zero.
