Can by increasing intensity of incident radiation, velocity of emitted photoelectrons be increased ? Explain what will be the effect of increasing intensity

The Velocity of emitted photoelectrons depends upon their kinetic energy as given by
`K_(E) = (1)/(2) mv^(2) " or v" = sqrt((2K_(E)//m))` . But we know that KE of photoelectrons are independent of the intensity of incident light
If intensity is increases, photocurrent will increase, this means number of ejected electrons will increase. This increase in photocurrent will be directly proportional to the intensity of the incident light
But one thing has to be noticed that the incident light must be above the threshold frequency for the given material otherwise no photoelectrons will be emitted
