माना कि मूल अंकित मूल्य र 100 है।
`therefore` व्यापारी के लिए क्रयमूल्य = ₹ 80
विक्रयमूल्य = `(80 xx 125)/(100) = ₹ 100`
अभीष्ट अंकित मूल्य = `(100 xx 100)/(80) = ₹ 125 `
अतः, नये अंकित मूल्य को मूल अंकित मूल्य से `(125-100)/100 xx 100 = 25% `अधिक होना चाहिए।
