A को पूरा कार्य करने में लगा समय = 40 दिन
B को पूरा कार्य करने में लगा समय = 60 दिन
`A_(e)+B_(e) =(1)/(40)+(1)/(60) =(3+2)/(120) =(1)/(24)` अतः दोनों मिलकर कार्य 24 दिनों में पूरा करेंगे।
