मैदान का क्षेत्रफल `= 1000 xx 30 = 30000 m^(2)`
गड्ढ़े का क्षेत्रफल `= 40 xx 30 = 1200 m^(2)`
मिट्टी का आयतन` = 40 xx 30 xx 12 = 14400 m^(2)`
मैदान के शेष भाग का क्षेत्रफल `= 30000-1200 = 28800 m ^(2)`
`therefore` तल की ऊँचाई में वृद्धि ` = ( 14400)/(2880) = (1)/(2) m = 0.5 m`
