The electron pair involved in sharing between two bonding atoms is called shared pair or bond pair. At the same time, the electron pair which is not involved in sharing is called lone pair of eclectron. For example in `BeH_(2)` molecule, the central Be atom is currounded by wo bond pairs. In the molecule of `NH_(3)` the central B atom has three shared pairs and one lone pair around it.
