why is it not possible to prepare ditertiary butyl ether by Williamson's synthesis ?

Ditertiary butyl ether is to be prepared by the reaction between tertiary bytyl bromide and sodium tertiary butoxide. But under the reaction conditions, tertiary butyl bromide prefers to undrgo elimination to from isobutylene and tertiary butyl alcohol.
