Street Plan : A city has two main roads which cross each other at the centre of the city. These two roads are along the North-South direction and East-West direction. All other streets of the city run parallel to these roads and are 200 m apart. There are about 5 streets in each direction. Using 1 cm = 200 m, draw a model of the city on your notebook. Represent roads/ streets by single lines. There are many cross-streets in your model. A particular cross-street is made by two streets, one running in the North - South direction and another in the East - West direction. Each cross street is referred to in the following manner : the 2^(nd) street running in the North -South direction and 5^(th) in the East - West direction meet at some crossing, then we will call this crossstreet (2, 5). Using this convention find : how many cross-streets can be referred to as (4, 3).

Two identical wires one of Nichrome and other copper are connected in series and a current I is passed through them.State the change observed in the temperature of the 2 wires .Justify your answer .State the law which explains the above observation.

Two buildings are 45 m apart. With what velocity must a ball be thrown horizontally from a window 50 m above the ground in one building so that it enters a window 5.9m above the gorund in the other builing.

Two identical 5 kg blocks are moving with same speed of 2 m s^-1 towards each other along a frictionless horizontal surrface.the two blocks collide, stick together and come to rest.Consider the two blocks as a system. The work done by external and internal forces are respectively:

A man is standing on top of a building 100 m high. He throws two balls vertically, one at t = 0 and other after a time interval (less than 2 s). The later ball is thrown at a velocity of half the first. The vertical gap between first and second ball is 15 m at t = 2 s. The gap is found to remain constant. The velocities with which the balls were thrown.

To conduct Sports Day activities, in your rectangular shaped school ground ABCD, lines have been drawn with chalk powder at a distance of 1m each. 100 Flower pots have been placed at a distance of 1m from each other along AD, as shown in Fig. 7. 12. Niharika runs 1/4 th the distance AD on the 2nd line and posts a green flag. Preet runs 1/5th the distance AD on the eighth line and posts a red flag. What is the distance between both the flags? If Rashmi has to post a blue flag exactly halfway between the line segment joining the two flags, where should she post her flag?
