Why is the sinoatrial node called the pacmaker of heart ?

Although impulse is produced by the entire neuro muscular pathway, the frequency of impulse generation is maximum in case of sino atrial node in comparison to other parts of pathway . Hence it guides the rhythm of heat beat and is called the pacemaker of the heart .
