How does developing embryo gets its nouroshment inside the mother 's body ?

The development embryo gets nutrition from the mother.s blood with the help of a special tissue called placenta. It is embedded in the uterine wall. This is a disc like tissue which develops between the uterine walls and embryo. It has villi of embryo side of the tissue. On the mother side are blood spaces with the villi. This gives a large surface area for oxygen and glucose to pass from the mother to the embryo.
