What is the function of antidiuretic hormone? Where is it produced and what stimull Increases or decreases its secretion?

(i) ADH facilitates reabsorption of water in to the blood and there by prevents excess loss of water by diuresis. (ii) It regulates blood pressure.
It is secreted by the neurohypophysis, when it is stimulated by the osmoreceptors of hypothalamus. The osmoreceptors in the hypothalamus are activated by changes in the blood volume, body fluid volume and ionic concentration. These are the stimuli that increases or decreases its secretion.
