Pollination in gymnosperm is different from the pollination in angiosperms. In gymnosperms the pollens are deposited directly on the exposed ovules, whereas in angiosperms, the pollens are deposited on the stigma of the pistil. In gymnosperms, it is direct pollination, while in angiosperms it is indirect pollination.
