The primary sporogensous cell divide mitotically to form sporogenous tissue, which in turn functions as microspore mother cells.
(ii) Each microspore mother cell undergoes meiotic division to form four haploid microspore. They are called microspore tetrads.
(iii) Each microspore soon separate and remain free in the anther locule. Subsequently each microspore develop into pollen grain.
(iv) In plants like calotropis, the microspores are help together in a microsporangium as pollinium.
