Reed-swamp stage, phytoplankton stage, shrub stage, submerged plant stage, forest stage, submerged free floating stage, marsh meadow stage.
The rearrangement of the stages of succession is given below:
(i) Phytoplankton stage, (ii) Submerged plant stage, (iii) Submerged free floating stage, (iv) Reed swamp stage, (v) Marsh meadow stage, (vi) Shrub stage and (vii) Forest stage.
The Type of succession is hydrosere.
The succession in a pond ecosystem is also referred as hydrosere. Phytoplankton like blue green algae and green algae, diatoms and bacteria form the beginning of succession in pond ecosystem. This is followed by various successions and ends finally in the formation of community like forest stage.
