Autotrophic succession is the condition, in which the green plants are dominant during the early stage of succession. If the soil is rich in inorganic substances, this succession occurs. As the green plants dominate in the beginning of this succession, increase in organic matter in the ecosystem results. The energy flow subsequently increases in the ecosystem.
