Give an account of active principle and medicinal values of any two plants you have studied

The two example of medicinal plants are:
(i) Keezhanelli - Phyllanthus amarcis
(ii) Nila vembu - Andrographis paniculata
Active compound of keezhanelli is phyllanthin.
Keezhanelli is used to treat jaundice in Tamil Nadu. It has been proved that Phyllanthus amarus extract can cure Hapatitis B virus infection.
The active principle of nilavembu is Andrographolides.
The extract of Andrographis is used to treat liver disorders. The Nilavembu kudineer, a concoction of Antrograhis paniculata and eight other herbs can effectively treat malaria and dengue.
