Explain the sporulation in amoeba with the help of diagram.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Amoeba multiplies by sporulation with encystments during unfavourable condition. Chromatin blocks or fragments of nucleus are formed by breaking of parent nucleus. Each chromatin block develops a nuclear membrane, surrounded by a layer of cytoplasm. This forms a spore- case around it. When the conditions become favourable, the spores are liberated after disintegration of parent body. Each spore forms a young amoeba.
