Describe the structure of the human ovum with a neat labelled diagram.

Human ovum is non-cleidoic and alecithal in a ure. They are visible under the microscope. The large nucleus otherwise called as germinal vesicle is present in the cytoplasm or ooplasm of the ovum. The outer wall of the ovum consists of an inner thin transparent vitelline membrane, middle thick zona pellucida and outer think coat of follicular cells knows as corona radiata. A narrow perivitelline space is seen in between vitelline membrane and zona pellucida.
