Explanation

The follicular phase of menstrual cycle extends from the `5^(th)` day of the cycle until the time of ovulation. During this phase, a fully mature Grasfian follicle is formed from the primary follicle in the ovary. Simultaneously, the endometrium regenerates through proliferation. The secretion of FSH and LH during this phase induces these changes in the ovary and uterus. The follicular cells secretes oestrogen during this phase.
