PCOS is a complex endocrine disorder. This affects woman in their reproductive phase of the year. This is mainly due to formation of many partially formed follicles which contain an egg each. These eggs do not grow to maturity and take part in fertilization . The symptoms of this syndrome include irregular menstrual cycles, increased androgen levels, excessive facial and body hair growth, acne, obesity, reduced fertility and increased risk of diabetes.
