8. Explain intra-fallopian transfer (GIFT).

In this technology, the ovum collected from a donor is transfered into the fallopian tube of recipient. The transfered eggs are placed with the sperms in the fallopian tube for fertilization. The fertilized egg / zygote moves towards the uterus and gets implanted in the inner lining of the uterus.
