Mesozoic era is otherwise known as golden age of reptiles. This era is divide into three periods as follows :
(i) Triassic : Origin of egg laying mammals.
(ii) Jurassic : Dinosaurs were dominant and the fossil bird-Archaeopteryx was present on earth.
(iii) Cretaccous : Extinction of toothed birds and dinosaurs, emergence of modern birds occur.
