State the principles of Lamarck's Theory .

Explanation

Lanarck.s proposed two principles in his theory and they are :
(i) The theory of use and disuse : The organs increases in size, when they are used oftern and the organs, that are ot used will degenerate.
Eg: Neck in giraffe is an example of constat use and the absence of limbs in sankes is the example of disuse theory .
(ii) The theory of inheritance of acquired characters:
The characters developed by an organism during its life time are the acquired characters. Lamarck postulated that these acquired characters as then inherited to next generation .
