Immunotherapy is otherwise called biological therapy, in which the substances made by the body or in a laboratory (monoclonal antibodies) are used to improve or to resist the immune system function. The immunotherapy of cancer involves different approaches. After the removal of gross tumor, the patient is given immunotharapy to get rid of residual malignant cells. An integrated approach of treatment by combining surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy is the best treatment for cancer.
