Hot spots are located at places where high concentration of endemic species of plants / animals, experiencing unusual rapid rate of habit modification loss. Hot spot are the regions that harbour a great divenity of endemic species and at the same time, have been significantly impacted and altered by human activities. Hence hot spots are established with the intension of preventing further loss of endemic biodiversity.
