Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Community is a group or association of population of two or more different species, occuping the same geographical area. The stability of a community depends upon its species diversity, because each organism has its own function in an ecosystem and one species depends on the other for food and other aspects. Sometimes, the extinction of one species will eliminate the other in coextinction.
Eg: Orchid bees and forest trees for cross pollination. Extinction of one will automatically cause extinction of other. Therefore the stability of a community depends upon its species diversity.
