Swaralee takes 40 s to carry & bag weighing 20 kg to a height of 5 m. How much power has she used?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`m = 20 kg, h = 5 m, t = 40 s`
`therefore` The force which has to be applied by Swaralee,
`F = mg =20xx9.8`
`F = 196 N`
Work done by Swaralee to carry the bag to a height of 5 m,
`W = F s = 196xx5=980 J`
`therefore" power "=(P) =("Work")/(t) =(980)/(40)`
`P = 24.5 W`
