Gene Flow
It is an important mechanism of transferring genetic diversity between different populations. The sum total of all genes in a population of species at a time is its gene pool.
New genes or alleles are added to the existing population, when any movement of individuals or genetic material they carry occurs from one place to another. This is known as gene flow.
Example Pollens from a plant species being blown to a new place by wind or insects (during pollination).
