A particle is thrown vertically upward with a velocity of u. Find its time of flight.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`v = u+ at`
At highest point, `v = 0`.
` 0 = u - g t`
`t = u//g`
Time of flight is twice the time taken to reach maximum height.
`therefore T_f = 2 xx u//g = (2u)/g`
