The movements of Sameer are as shown in Fig.
i.e P to Q, Q to R, R to S, S to T and T to U.

P = Starting Point
U = End Point
Since RS = PQ + TU
So, U lies in line with P.
Therefore, Sameer.s distance from the initial position
P = PU = (PV + VU) = (QR+ ST)= (30+15) = 45 m
Also, U lies to the East to P.
