Present age of Manick = 12 years.
Then present age of Rahul = 4 years. (given)
After x years, Manick.s age = 12 + x
After x years, Rahul.s age = 4 + x
According to the question
`(12 + x) = 2(4 + x)`
or, `12 + x = 8 + 2x `
or, `x = 4`
Therefore, Required age of Manick = (12+ x) years
= (12 + 4) years
= 16 years
