A
Let the age of the elder son = x years
Then, the age of the father = 2x years
The age of the younger son = (x - 15) years
According to the question
`2x + 10 = 3 [(x - 15) + 10]`
or, `2x + 10 = 3 [(x - 5)] `
or, `x = 25`
Therefore, the age of the father = 2x
`= 2 xx 25 = 50 `years.
