What wuold happen if green plants disappear from earth ?

Green plants are the sources of energy for all organisms. They are the main channel through which solar energy is transferred to other organisms. All other organisms directly or indirectly depend on green plants for food. If all green plants disappear from the earth, all the herbivores will die due to staevation and so will the carnivores. This would result in extinction of life form the earth.
