Hydrogen has been used as a rocket fuel. Would you consider it a cleaner fuel `CNG` ? Why or why not ?

Hydrogen can be considered a cleaner fuel than compressed natural gas (CNG). CNG contains hydrocarbons. Therefore, it has carbon contents. Carbon is a form of pollutant present in CNG.
But hydrogen is waste-free because its burning produces water vapour which is non-polluting. However, due to explosive nature of hydrogen, its storage and transportation is difficult.
