How do we detect the smell of an agarbatti (incense stick)?

When the particle of agarbatti is inhaled as smoke then olfactory receptors present in the nose receive the stimulus and sends the electrical signal to the fore brain. The signal is processed by the brain and detected to be detected as smell.
