Design an experiment to demonstrate hydrotropism.

To demonstrate hydrotropism in plants :
Procedure:
i. Take a vessel containing soil to plant a seedling.
ii. Put a porous pot containing water adjacent to the seedling
iii. Now leave it for few days.
Observation:
It will be observed that the roots will bend towards the source of water and would not grow straight.
Result:
This response of plant toward the water stimulus shows hydrotropism as the roots bend towards the porous pot of water. Hydrotropism is a plant growth response in which the direction of growth is determined toward the stimulus of gradient in water concentration.
