Glandular tissue of each breast is divided into mammary lobes which contain alveoli clusters. Alveolar cells secrete milk which is stored in alveolar lumen (cavity). Alveoli open into mammary tubules, which further join to form a mammary duct. Mammary ducts join to form a wider mammary ampulla which is connected to a lactiferous duct through which the milk is sucked out.
