(i) He is appreciating his appearance and takes high pride in himself when he looks into the mirror. And, to look more handsome he decides to grow a thin moustache, shave daily and keep a smile on his face always.
(ii) When the snake has coiled itself around his arm, he has become motionless. He keeps sitting there holding his breath in a calm position. He smiles at his foolishness and his ignorant behaviour towards the noise he has heard thrice. He is a doctor but does not have any medicines in his room to cure himself if the snake bites him.
